See How You and Your Children Can Benefit

As a mother of five children who are – That is my daughter above, #5 – and were very active in sports and other extra curriculum activities  during their elementary, high school and college days, it seemed as though every time I turned around I needed to give one of my children more money for that particular activity.  Needless to say, it added up – and it seemed as they always asked as they were headed out the door.  :)   So I know firsthand how costly it is to have children who play sports or does some other type of extra curriculum activity such as Band and Marching Band or academic team.

So, why am I writing this in my C.A.S.P.E.R. Blog?  CASPER

C.A.S.P.E.R. is a fundraising Tool too – not just a Alert and Warning system through FEMA’s IPAWS and using the C.A.S.P.E.R. Alerts feature using your local 911 Authority.  Any Non-Profit Organization can use it to help get funding for their activity; Even Elementary Schools, High Schools and Colleges / Universities.

There are many ways that this can be implemented in your School or College.  Here are just two quick examples.

  • Since we recommend no more than 24 Sponsortizers, you can see which sports team or extra curriculum activity would like to participate with getting Sponsortizers.  From there, just divide how many sports teams or extra curriculum activities there are into 24 Sponsortizers.  Let’s say there are 12 groups in total that would like to participate, that would provide each participating group to have two Sponsortizers that they are responsible for getting.  That would provide $3,600 extra dollars for each group who participates per year.  And depending on your school, each activity group may have to pay one month towards the leasing payment which would bring you to about $3,000.00 per year.  See the Chart we provide that better explains it.

That is nothing to sneeze at and that amount ($3,000) is just based on the Model we use as an example.  So if you are in a more populated that our Woolwine, VA area – which is easy to do unless you are as rural as Woolwine – than you can easily request a higher Donation from your Sponsortizers.

  • Another example is to let the Sports and other extra curriculum activity Boosters Associations get together and split everything fairly so that everyone can benefit from the Fundraising.

As I said, these are just two quick examples – and the Beauty – everyone who participates will benefit, especially the parents with helping them not feel like an ATM machine!

I know I would have been very grateful to my children’s school if they had this type of system in place helping me not have to hear the constant statement ‘I need money for . . . . . ‘.  As most everyone can agree, sports and extra curriculum activities are an important aspect of children’s lives.  In the past when I would hear from other parents that their children don’t participate in these such activities due to the costs I would think – There has to be a better way!  Now, it makes me feel proud that with C.A.S.P.E.R. there IS a better way to help.
