Is Your Nonprofit Organization Still Doing This?

Go with the flow fate of dead fish 911 CASPER Systems-Fundraising-DonationsBy Judie Protesto Freels

Are You Taking the Fate of Dead Fish?

“The common advice to ‘go with the flow’ overlooks the
       fact that it’s the fate of dead fish . . . . . “
                                                                                Dennis Jones

I see this as a growing trend with fundraising – non-profit organizations continuing to ‘go with the flow’ with their donation efforts and fundraising events. How is that working out for you?

I truly hope it is going good for you,  your Organization is needed within your Community; and you need money to stay operational and ready to help your Community before, during and after emergencies and disasters.

However, if you are like most Nonprofit Organizations, you have run into donations being down within their Communities? Here is a typical article from ABC 2 News about this growing problem that said: “But like many volunteer companies, the extra cash just isn’t there, in part due to economic fluctuations and a lack of community involvement.” And I am not even mentioning anything about Budget Cuts.

So, are you going to continue to ‘go with the flow’ and just take the fate of a dead fish? Or are you going to realize that times have changed – and so should your fundraising approach.

Change is easier than you think. At least if the change is with CASPER. With CASPER you can tap into a previously untapped donation pool through the (usually) local businesses. And the wonderful thing is that it helps the businesses too.

How is it previously untapped? Larger businesses within Communities have already seen the value of donating to Nonprofit Organizations. You see it all the time in newspapers, online articles, and you hear about it too within your Community. However, previously, smaller businesses within the Community seldom thought they could experience this type of ‘Community goodwill value’ since they feel as though they have to give thousands of dollars to get this type of exposure. But now, they can tap into the same Community Recognition benefit that large businesses have enjoyed in the past.

So, what values are the large businesses receiving from them donating that small businesses can receive now too? Well, the obvious is because they get to help, who doesn’t want to help these nonprofit organizations – they feel good about themselves and how they help that nonprofit organization and Community. But there are other positive effects for these businesses too. Their Community image is dramatically increased, they are now instantly associated with the good karma of the non-profit organization, and they have a great tax credit. And of course, they receive instant goodwill throughout the Community.

The added perk is that it helps Communities ‘Buy Local’ Campaigns.  And that helps everyone!

Previously, small businesses thought they could not get this same instant goodwill within their Communities without spending or donating the thousands and thousands of dollars that larger businesses donate. However, now through Sponsortizing on CASPER you can.

What does this mean for nonprofit organizations? Sponsortizing helps you to stop ‘going with the flow’ which will leave your financial donation future like the fate of dead fish. It gives your organization a fresh new untapped donation stream of residual income to come in, month after month, for your organization.

Non-profit organization wins – and so does the smaller local businesses – but even more importantly your Community wins too because they can be sure the help they will need in the future, will be there for them. WIN ~ WIN ~ WIN. CASPER!

So, take the steps to keep your head above water by implementing CASPER – because you don’t want to end up sleeping with the fish.
